Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 June 2026 · HUBLAUNCH TECHNOLOGIES (PTY) LTD
By creating an account or using Yield, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Yield on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
01
What Yield does
Yield is operational intelligence software for stock, invoices, sales, recipes, reporting, and variance workflows. Yield processes the files and records you provide to calculate outputs such as stock variance, food cost, reporting, workflow alerts, and related recommendations.
Results depend on the quality, scope, and timeliness of the data you provide. We make no guarantee that Yield's outputs are suitable for use in legal, tax, or regulatory proceedings without your own review and supporting records.
02
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must not share your account with people outside your organisation without using the team invite feature.
- You must not use Yield to process data you do not have rights to share with us.
- One subscription covers one organisation (one business entity).
03
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via our payment provider. The current price is displayed at checkout.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period.
- Accounts with failed payments will be suspended after 7 days. Data is retained for a 30-day administrative window after suspension before deletion, subject to legal, billing, fraud, or incident-response requirements.
04
Your data
You own your data. We process it only to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details. By using the service, you grant Yield the limited rights necessary to host, copy, process, transmit, back up, secure, and support your data solely to operate the service, provide requested support, prevent abuse, recover from incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data or use it to train third-party AI models. Yield may retain limited structural ingestion signals — such as header patterns or mapping rules — to improve import reliability. The core product still works without AI features enabled, although some assisted workflows may be unavailable in that mode.
05
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use Yield for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access another organisation's data.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our API.
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice.
06
Limitation of liability
Yield is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or business decisions made on the basis of Yield's output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
07
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. We will notify you of planned maintenance. We are not liable for downtime outside our control, including infrastructure outages.
08
Changes to these Terms
We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of Yield after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
09
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
